Goché Grotto
The before and after on this project is wild. We had the distinct honor to help transform this basement. The basement in question is part of a well loved home that hosted many gatherings in the past, but was sorely in need of an update by the time it was purchased.
Helping to address the city's dire need for more housing, Lauren wanted to transform the basement into a livable area that would be flexible and not feel like a basement. The layout aimed to give each space a sense of independence, while maintaining a feel-good flow, and storage! Modern home designs are notoriously short on storage compared to 100 years ago, which can undermine the longevity of a remodel.
Your Old Haunt did a fabulous job of bringing playful and biophilic elements to the space with her staging and murals.
